After breaking up for a while, the Jonas Brothers got back together to put out a new album, Happiness Begins. While the band decidedly falls into top 40-pop for the most part, this album does have some fun lyrics and melodies, and interesting harmonies in a few places. The lyrics are fairly simplistic, but they suit the genre perfectly. Perhaps the best thing about this album is that it has a lot of positive, sweet love songs that defy the focus on break-ups, lost love, and internal struggles that seems common in current pop music.
Released in 2019, 14 tracks, 44 min
After being silent for nearly 10 years, the Jonas Brothers are back and ready to make music once again as a family, and we could not be any more excited. After five months of silence, the band of brothers banded together again in secret a year or so back and began working on the album and then surprised us with the release of “Sucker” a few days after being iconic kings. Happiness Begins is their fifth studio album and houses 14 songs. The song is a rollercoaster that follows their love for their wives, a few songs dedicated to them individually, follows them reminiscing about their lives, as well as a love letter to their fans to come back to them. The album is everything a fan could ask for, and maybe more, I was definitely not disappointed.
