The Simulation Predicts Born Of Osiris’ Reign Over Metalcore’s Future
For the majority of Born Of Osiris’ time in the Metalcore scene, they’ve always appeared as the red-headed stepchild to the movement at large, sitting as second-tier to more prolific acts like All Shall Perish & Unearth despite having one of the heaviest sounds in town; Sure, they’ve simultaneously experienced some fantastic moments on-stage with a ravenous fan following, but they always seem to get snubbed when it comes to mainstream notoriety, blending in with bands like Veil Of Maya & Oceano from the less-exciting second-wave of Metalcore in the late-noughties – In my honest opinion, much of the scene – including the stuff Born Of Osiris were a part of) just lacked the enthusiasm & ingenuity it really needed from 2011 until now, but The Simulation manages to pull a fast one on us all, producing one of the scene’s most incredible records in years.
